| Marivea will help us for sure. I'm not sure about an SM though. I just realized I haven't talked to Tsureio, Ghaul, Garaheim, Gahylin, or you on TV.net for a long, long time. where did you all go!? | |

| This is a period of ajustment for me, really. Can't get the hang of the new forums. So I have very little posts :cry. I wan't the Tavern back. My room in the Barracks is cold and my roommates need a wake up poke. They are LAZY (big time). I was first in one room with Gahylin and a cool bunch of others, but then the site crash happened and they reorganized the whole Garrison :tug The Captain is really great and the DM folks, but the other companies' topics are just boring ( for example "VC: food and drink" : I can get food at home, thank you...besides, lots of them are vegetarians...and they only talk about how to care for your blade and such...nothing constructive). I actually liked the MDD and the SDS topics...but the SDS only talk about drinks. There are weekly contests, but, since my roommates are all gone I can't compete with anybody (because it's only your roomates that can opose you). So you can see why I miss the Tavern. I doubt that is the case in the Tower, where you have heater and can channel...and where they don't wake you up with a bucket of cold water. | |

| *patpats* oh, the new forums aren't so bad. it's just like joining all over again. you just have to post a lot to get used to it. don't worry about your roommates. I've never even HEARD of mine. the only one who used to post is an Aes Sedai now. some times Laralelle or Marivea will come in and chat, but usually it's pretty lonely. The Ajah topics are ok, when I can find a spot to jump in, but someone always ends up changing to something I know nothing about, like tea or knitting. we don't have contests, but we have battle classes, which are to practice channeling. unfortunately, I was too late to sign up for any, so I'm not in them. I don't miss the Tavern TOO much. I usually just post in General, and go poking around the rest of the places. but don't let the new forums scare you; it's still the same old TarValon. :snuggle | |

| I liked it better as it was. It was lots of fun and I actually had living roommates. And I could tell where everything is...I didn't have to start a wild search to know. By the way, are your parents buying you a car. Mine aren't...as usual I'll have to buy evrything myself, if I save to money to do so. | |

| Nope, they aren't. However, my grandparents have a car that they never use that they said I could have. But it doesn't work right and would cost money to fix up. I'd also have to pay for insurance for it and everything. Not to mention I have to start saving for college. So unless the car is part of a birthday or Christmas present, I won't be getting it. :desk Which, unfortunately, makes it awfully hard for me to get a real job. | |

| Same here...I used to work in a bookshop (it was like I was in heaven), but the distance was huge. I would take me 2 hours to reach it by foot, which meant that I had to wake up at 6 a.m. every day. :desk | |

| That's why you have to stay in town. I love my home town...parts of it. Living i a town is much better than living in a city. | |

| I agree. Cities are very scary. I lived in town for most of my life, before moving out to the country. It wasn't really a town. It was probably the size of Emond's Field. If my town is Emond's Field, then I live way out on Rand's farm. only, I don't live on a farm. :look | |

| I won't be swimming in a lake...I want clean water. But the oceans...I guess that a few of those would be nice. Egwene is an awesome name for a girl. | |

| oceans are grosser than lakes. lakes being dirty doesn't really bother me at all. I just shower afterward. I like the name Elayne better, but she's really annoying so I wouldn't want to name my daughter after her. Egwene is a pretty name. My friend wants to name her daughter Arwen, like from Lord of the Rings. | |

| Elayne...a pretty name Have to think about it. But if you have a son his name WILL be Tairon, won't it?! Isn't my nickname cool?! OK, I'm that selfish, it's just that...oh, I guess I am. | |

| *nods* I like the old-fashioned "common" names like Henry. they're called common but they aren't really common anymore... | |

| "Common" is a word people use when they can't find anything else to say. So, common or not, Henry is a very cool name. Georgi is a "common" name in Bulgaria, but this doesn't mean that I can't call myself "farmer" instead (because in Greek Georgi means farmer). | |

| Well, Georgi isn't common at all in the US. I've never even heard that name before. Jeanette isn't very common either, although I have met 5 other Jeanettes in my life. It's French, I think. | |
