Oh, do so. New languages are lots of fun. But they are time-consuming.

Well, I tried the easy way (Googling it) and there was nothing for a hundred miles. I'm going to have to be a little more imaginative. :tug

Well, a professor from the Veliko Tarnovo university is going to teach our Italian classes next year. It should be quite fun. I don't know what our headmistress did to make the professor teach in high school but I surely am grateful.

that's really cool. no Italian at our school. one of the counselors at camp this year could speak German, Arabic, and some Hebrew. a lot of others could speak Spanish.

Well, our school is the biggest...and the one with the best students No wonder she came here. She might actually teach me Italian when I go to uni. I have to learn one more language (the languages have to be five or more).

See, our school is the smallest. You have to learn 5 for what? becoming a translator?

No, that's not the languages I must learn at school. This is the number of languages I have to know the basics of before I apply for uni.

are you serious!? oh my gosh. that's crazy. hardly any of the universities around here require foreign languages, and the ones that do are the more expensive ones. even then they only require the basics of one additional language. 5 is crazy!!

Well, this is what it takes to become an interpreter. It doesn't apply for the rest...only for the ones that are willing to push themselves beyond their limits. It's pretty scary at first, but when you start learning the grammar it gets easier.

Allmost all the unis can accept you if you have an A or a B in English, but very few accept pther foreign (for the Bulgarians) languages. And those very few are the ones I'm aiming for...I will apply for Oxford and Cambridge unis, but I hardly have enough money to go abroad, let alone study there.

ok, I get it now. maybe you could get a scholarship or something? A kid that graduated this year got thousands of dollars in scholarships... but then again, he was valedictorian, which is $2500 per year you're in college. I think I'll be just short of valedictorian, but if I try REALLY hard, who knows? i could really use that money... I hope you DO get to go to those fancy colleges.
